$200 off your rent every month
House Managers wanted
Every Bumblebee home has one resident who helps keep it warm, clean, and running smoothly. That person is our House Manager — and they live in the house just like everyone else, with a discounted rent as a thank-you.
$200 / month
Discount applied to your rent for as long as you serve as House Manager.
Who we're looking for
A current or incoming resident who is dependable, organized, respectful, and genuinely enjoys people. 18+, in good standing on rent and house rules.
Time commitment
A few light touches each day plus a weekly check-in — this is a resident role, not a full-time job. It works around school or work.
What a House Manager does
These duties come from the House Manager agreement signed alongside the lease.
Set the tone of the home
- Welcome new residents, show them around, and help them settle in
- Model and encourage respectful, community-minded behavior
- Help resolve small housemate disagreements early and kindly
- Escalate anything serious to the Bumblebee team right away
Keep common areas guest-ready
- Do a quick daily walk-through of kitchen, living room, laundry, and shared baths
- Remind residents of the shared-space cleaning schedule
- Take trash and recycling to the curb on collection days and return bins
- Keep the porch, entry, and yard area tidy
Be our eyes on the property
- Report maintenance issues through the website as soon as they appear
- Provide access for maintenance, cleaners, and inspections when needed
- Replace light bulbs, air filters, and batteries from house supplies
- Watch for leaks, pests, and anything that could become a bigger problem
Support move-ins and tours
- Help prepare rooms for move-in and confirm move-out condition
- Assist with scheduled tours when you're available
- Confirm house supplies (paper goods, cleaning basics) are stocked
- Keep the Bumblebee team updated on how the house is doing
Good to know
- House Managers sign a House Manager lease addendum outlining these duties.
- The $200 monthly discount appears automatically on your rent in the tenant portal.
- House Managers do not collect rent, sign leases, or handle repairs themselves — they report and coordinate with our team.
- The role can be ended by either side; rent simply returns to the standard rate.
